Abstract: Communication with regard to professional development is an important mechanism for human resource management in libraries and is an essential element of the organisational culture. The article highlights key aspects of the topic in the communication processes which take place in the library; it also identifies the reasons for its overall development and deeper analysis. The introduction compares views from specialised literature on organisational communication, theoretical sources on communication psychology and organisational behaviour, and their relevance in the context of library organisations. The article also provides grounds for the need to examine the problem independently, to develop proposals for the improvement of the current situation, and to create effective models in the future.
Keywords: library, communication, career development, library staff.
