Abstract: This paper focuses on the development of communication competences at universities and the need for their further development during graduates’ professional career. Hypotheses about the relationship between communicative competences and the following factors – work experience, managerial experience, frequency of use of a certain competence, are tested in an empirical study amongst 200 students of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, Sofia University „St. Kliment Ohridski”.
