Abstract:Event Management is a specific scientific and professional area, based on knowledge, derived from various scientific fields, which include: examining the coordination and management of the communication flows. For this reason, the interdisciplinary approach is the most appropriate when studying those special events. Event Management is established as an independent scientific discipline, which is also directly related to the field of special events. On the other hand, Event Management, at the same time, is a separate and very specific industry, which „product” is the special event itself. Event Management is becoming a dynamic and continuously responding to the challenges of the field. The professional from the field of Event Manager – the Event Manager should have a set of professional knowledge and skills, but should also be undoubtedly a good communicator and capable of managing and coordinating the communication processes at different levels.
