The language of the media in Czechoslovakia before the Velvet revolution and its study

Abstract: The text deals with the usage of language for the aims of political propaganda, focusing on the print media in Czechoslovakia before 1989. It analyses the lexical means used in the Czechoslovak press in the context of communist proapaganda and manipulation. It also presents some projects for access to the texts from the communist era.
