Abstract: This article is an attempt to present various theoretical statements about concepts related to the Internet, the media and Public Relations. Major developments of the communication in the digital era have been identified, including trolls, bots, post-truth, fake news, echo cameras, self-communication. Their specifics and characteristics are presented and the intersections are highlighted. Phenomena are identified and assumptions about their development and future challenges for the PR profession are made.
