Abstract: This text is provoked by the specific work situation of foreign students of dental medicine. It describes the types of games used in learning Bulgarian as a foreign language with the aim to master the terminology and communication in dental practice. The specificity of modern foreign language teaching is its communicative orientation, and it is here that the contradiction between real language communication and the conditions offered for its mastering in the learning process arises. Students are forced to act in a psychologically unrealistic language-communicative situation. One of the alternatives is to introduce an associative gaming approach to learning to achieve the desired effect.
Keywords: foreign language teaching, communication, dialogue, role play.
