Sonya Alexieva – 20 Years – Bulgarian Public Relation Association. PR Memories Twenty Years Later. People Make History and History Lives through FactsAbstract: Today, 20 years since its creation, the Bulgarian Public Relations Association (BPRA) has a history rich in names and figures who have become part of the PR professional community. Among its founding fathers and most prominent members, there are those who would make the honor roll of any profession. Who are they and how did they support the organization, what were BPRA’s first ideas, events, and causes in Sofia and throughout the country? When and how did IPRA provide support to its Bulgarian section, what happened at the press conference when the association announced the first PR awards in our country? How was the first Ethical Code of Bulgarian PR professionals created? It is difficult but not impossible to tell the short but exciting story of Bulgaria’s first PR community based on facts: from BPRA’s Founding Protocol to publications and from the website to the PR Bulletin. Because people make history and history lives through facts.
