Abstract: This article attempts to reveal the image of Kinesics in the context of sport. The sport is taken as factor with social impact and the sportspeople – as national heroes with key social and representative functions of identification. The method of investigation is analysis of documents. It provides short historical review of sport, presented as “cultural code of behavior”. That way Kinesics reveals its aspects – facial expression, gaze, gesture, posture. The conclusions confirm the importance of nonverbal aspects of Kinesics in the sportspeople` public behavior. At the same time the analysis outlines some basic directions of how to apply models of nonverbal behavior in the theoretical filed of sport.
