Abstract: The focus of the proposed text is the role of intercultural and language training for successful intercultural communication. Language training perceived language as a system of different rules and rarely draws attention to its special relationship with intercultural training. Tolerance, understanding and acceptance of different ethnicities and cultures and respect for human rights are at the core of European identity. That is why language, particularly language learning must undoubtedly be combined with intercultural training. On the one hand linguistic competence is essential in a situation of intercultural interaction, but on the other hand knowledge of the foreign culture is not enough without the necessary linguistic skills. Intercultural learning and international education is valued more and their key issues must be analyzed related to education in Bulgarian schools. Based on evolving scientific field (intercultural training and education) of those working in this field should be offered professional information that will help in putting problems and implementing practice of intercultural learning.
