Maya Sotirova - Development of Sociolinguistic Competence in Vocational-Pedagogical Preparation of Students Abstract: The problem of communicative competence of pedagogical specialists has long been the subject of serious scientific discussions. The interest in the problem is justified amid serious challenges to the pedagogical profession ( hence to the vocational-pedagogical training of future teachers, too), associated with the complexity and the dynamics of the changes in all social spheres. The article raises the question of the development of sociolinguistic competence of students from pedagogical specialities in the process of their professional training. The focus is on its praxeological characteristics, i.e. on the skills necessary for the students to manage their own speech behavior. The outlining of the communicative speaking skills, formed and improved in the academic and pedagogical communication, is in accordance with the basic activities in the process of university education — reading, writing, listening, observiing, speaking and presentation.

Antonina Kardasheva – Emotional intelligence as a type of communicationAbstract: There are many reasons that emotional intelligence can be seen as a significant determinant of personal emotional communication exchanges in everyday life. Conceptualized contemporary researchers as a distinctive personal trait, emotional intelligence is the ability to influence other human behavior and especially on interpersonal relationships. The theoretical composition of the report focuses on the interpretation of emotional intelligence as a kind of behavioral characteristic that is the basis of individual differences between people and affects interpersonal relationships through different styles of humour. This thesis is confirmed by research data, which proves that the genes that determine individual differences constitute and individual differences in emotional intelligence and the relationship between the use of different styles of humour.

Georgi Stojanov – Mediation as a Way of Developing a New Communication Culture at School

Медиацията като път за изграждане на нова култура на общуване в училищеAbstract: The subject of study in the following report is mediation at school, which is delivered by students, and which resolves disputes between students. Bad communication and problems in relationships are preconditions for conflicts at school. Mediation at school is necessary not only to resolve conflict situations, but that way students learn to communicate more effectively, to articulate their interests, to be assertive. In connection to this school mediation is viewed as a way of developing a new communication culture in school environment.

Bistra Mizova – Research Approaches tо Teacher Communication Styles

Abstract:   The article clarifies the concept communication style and analyzes in brief the basic research approaches to learning with a focus on the two main traditions in its conceptualization – the first one treating the communication as a projection of the repetitive behavioral patterns, typical for the person; and the other, treating the construct as a derivative of stable personal traits. As a result of the detailed review of empirical research in educational context the usefulness of the construct communication style in study of the spectrum of professional competences (one of which is the social-communicative competence) of the teacher is outlined as an important factor for organization and implementation of effective teaching and instruction. In addition the essence of the concept is discussed through the comparison to other commonly used pedagogical terms like teacher style of leadership, teaching and instructional style.

Silvia Tsvetanska – Communication of the Partnership between Parents and Teachers at School

Abstract: The article examines the problem of communication between teachers and parents at  school in the context of building  partnership, which is based on mutual understanding and acceptance. Described are common communication strategies in the behavior of parents and displayed are patterns of the relationship between teachers and parents. On this basis some practical highlights for validation of communication in the partnership with parents in favor of achieving educational goals are outlined.
